Best Things to Do at Juhu Beach

Mumbai, the city of dreams, is known for many things: its hectic traffic jams, beautiful monsoon season, delectable snacks such as vada pav & pav bhaji, stylish Kolahpuri chappals and for being the epicenter of talent. However, the one thing that stands out among other things is the ‘Juhu Beach’. Reckoned as one of the most well-known beaches in India, the iconic Juhu Beach draws throngs of tourists each day. Situated in 'Ville Parle', the beach is flanked by the royal blue waters of the colossal Arabian Sea. What makes this beach a popular tourist attraction is the plethora of activities that you can indulge in while you are at this beach.

1. View the enchanting sunset
Watch the sky metamorphose from ochre to black as the sun dips below the horizon and the twilight sets in. This natural phenomenon creates a beautiful choreography not just in the sky but also in the azure waters of the sea as silhouettes of the sun beautifully dance on the surface of the water. You can also go for a mushy stroll at the beach with your beloved as your feet are bathed by the splashing of waves, leaving you in a puddle of joy.

2. Indulge in some sporty activities
Another great option for you is to spend some quality time with your kids as you build castles of glittering golden sand on the beach. Those of you who are fond of kite flying or playing water sports like water volleyball, water polo or Frisbee will also not be disappointed! At the same time, you can also go for a relaxing dip with your friends in the tranquil waters surrounding the beach.

3. Local shops
Juhu Beach is quite famous for hosting local bistros, which serve several authentic snacks of the region such as bhel puri, pani puri, colourful ice chuskis and batata vadas. So, quit being diet conscious and binge on these scrumptious delicacies. The beach also houses quite a few high end fashion houses and designer boutiques where you can get an unrivalled collection for your trousseau. This is also an ideal spot for you to pick up some souvenirs for your friends and family.
4. Drop by at Hare Krishna Mandir
Another notable tourist attraction at Juhu Beach is the spectacular marble clad Hare Krishna Mandir (or ISKCON temple). Inaugurated in 1978, this divine beauty is located at close proximity to the beach. As you walk into the temple, you will be greeted by the peaceful chanting of hymns. The mesmerizing idols of Radha & Krishna as well as the folklore surrounding them form part of the temple premises.

After spending time at this celebrated beach, you can head to Kohinoor Elite Hotel for a relaxing retreat. Not only does it have numerous well-appointed rooms for you to stay in, it also has a great all day diner serving cuisines from around the world.
